Meet The Artist

Original art and collected coastal pieces inspired by Cape Cod light, oyster shells, freshwater ponds, and the beauty of weathered things.

Raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey and shaped by years spent between Tribeca, South Kensington, London, and Wellfleet, Massachusetts, Hilary Reider Wallace creates work rooted in memory, coastal light, and collected beauty.

A Villanova graduate and former investment banker, Hilary returned to making art through a lifelong connection to Cape Cod — particularly Wellfleet, a place known for its oysters, bohemian artists, freshwater kettle ponds, windswept dunes, and extraordinary light.

Her work blends contemporary abstraction with coastal storytelling. Through painterly movement, oyster forms, sea-worn palettes, patina, reclaimed materials, and found objects, each piece is designed to feel refined, personal, and full of character.

Hilary lives in Ridgewood with her husband Michael, their children Emma and Finn, and Roxie, their Australian Shepherd. A proud wash-ashore, she finds beauty in simple rituals: a crisp oyster, a starlit harbor, sun-faded hydrangeas, and an ice-cold glass of Sancerre at the end of the day.

I am drawn to the kind of beauty that feels lived-in — salt air, old cottages, sun-faded hydrangeas, starlit water, and the quiet elegance of a perfect oyster.”
